Before I started serious couponing, I used to use disposable razors religiously. Specifically Venus and Schick Quattro. Even if I didn't have coupons, I would buy them because that's what I used and liked. Since becoming a more serious couponer, I've been buying what's cheap and what I have coupons for. I picked up quite a few of the new Venus ProSkin razor within the last couple of months because they have been almost free with coupons and register rewards at Walgreens. Here's my review!
Trying to get silky smooth legs like Jennifer Lopez in the commercials? Well, sorry to say ladies, this razor won't do it for you! At least it didn't do it for me. Maybe I'm just negative to the fact that this razor has a built in soap-bar that requires you to not have to use shave gel. I actually never use shave gel anyways, because it's too much of a pain in the shower. I always just used shower gel before shaving. Because of the soap-bar, the razor doesn't allow you to get a close enough shave to feel that silky smooth, like J-Lo has been talking about. And not to mention, the soap-bar dissolves everytime you use it, which only gets you about 5 shaves per cartridge. One cartridge I opened, I only got 2 shaves out of it because the soap-bar FELL off the razor!
Even though I am not a fan of this razor, I probably will still continue to buy it with coupons if it's cheap. I do like the fact that the handle allows you to use any Venus cartridge that is available on the market. Anyone have any thoughts on this razor if you have tried it? I would love to hear what you think!
